To ITTA members, tourism service providers and
those previously in receipt of the ITTA Survey
Many thanks to those of you who completed and returned the survey forms, as circulated early this summer. The information has been run through the SNAP automatic analysis programmed, and we are now working our way through the ‘Free Comment’ section.
Many of you will be aware that after years of sterling service, Ann Smith has resigned as our Chairperson as has Steve Davies a joint chair. Additionally we have no secretary or secretariat support at present. However, as a short-term measure, I have offered my services as secretarial support over the winter months.
To address the current situation, a working party, with representatives from all three towns and the villages, is working on proposals for a new way forward for a re-launched ITTA, based on your survey responses, and other considerations. It is anticipated that the working party will come back to the Executive Committee no later than the end of January, enabling ITTA to hold an AGM in March. Nominations for the role of Chairperson, Treasure and Secretary will be sought at that meeting, with the hope of electing officers for 2010.
A new way forward offers a new opportunity for involvement – do take time to consider whether you could be an executive member, steering the ITTA through 2010.
In the meantime, new members will continue to be welcome but no subscriptions charged until the AGM. Similarly, current memberships due for renewal will roll forward to the AGM. All ITTA members will still qualify for discounts against TDC /Isle magazine advertising programme.
We look forward to inviting you to an AGM in the first quarter of 2010,
Best wishes,
Jo Scott
